REGENERAT1ON is on a distinguished road

high temperatures

i got new hardware (amd barton 2800+ / nf7-s v2.0)
now since i installed/removed the heatsink.. there was almost no compound left.. so i reapplied it with some cheap silicon compound. 12.5x166 (vcore 1.65 - 2.08ghz) idle temps is 48-50c and 52c in load.. anyway i can reach 12.5x187 (vcore 1.75 - 2.37ghz) but its idle at 50c and in load at 55-60c.. since i dont have high quality thermal compound and its will take me some time to get new thermaltake heatsink+fan+compound.. so what you recommend me to do until ill get the new cooling hardware ?
you think its safe 50-60c for 1-2 weeks ?

p.s.
4 in fans - 2 ex fans (lol)
stock heatsink/fan with silicon compound
stock abit chipset fan
good airflow condition (had 35c with overclocked AMD 1800+)

If you don't get far above 60 even when gaming then it is perfectly fine. In that case you would not need a new cooler, but I guess using a stock cooler might feel a bit dull. That chip seems like a good overclocker so you might perhaps also get further with a better cooler. I don't have any specific advice as there are so many good CPU coolers out today. Search for some new reviews and avoid the most expensive products because they aren't really worth the cost.

just make sure you dont go too far into 60C as most people dont recommend it and its uncharted territory for most as they try to get much lower. just be careful and keep an eye out.

tbh... I got into the low 70s with a barton 2800... granted it was just over 2.5ghz... but it ran fine... (damn those coolermaster aero 7+s!!! lol)
