Default Post radeon 9700 vmod is here.... **THE HOW TO**

I dont expect people to go out and do this just read and have fun

k now to overclocking the beast that is the 9700...

AVG. mhz with stock cooling

CORE-350
MEM-710

AVG.mhz with watercooling

CORE-400
MEM- 750

AVG. mhz with watercooling and volt mod!

CORE-425
MEM-750

k now to the goods.. i just want to clear those on overclocking the 9700.. its OK!! to do it and you will feel special lol just dont go over 350/700 and you will be fine.

I wasnt to amazed on telling people how to vmod the 9700 until DJ from MO decided to post it... so i guess DH should get some of the fun

The chip is labeled SC1175CSW and use pin # 18

3300 ohms = 1.7volts from 1.51 default

for easier install use microclips !

thank DJ for the pic

thats it..i will add more later.. ask anything... ohh with watercooling and this mod i have my 9700 to 430/800 but run it at 400/775 normal use.

PeakPerformance,

That is NOT his score. It belongs to OPPAINTER of XTREMESYSTEMS. If you look up at the top you will see his name and his team! The mod he used will be posted at Xtremesystems by our 3D Team Captain as soon as it is completely tested.

howdy

I'm a little confused about the particulars of executing this mod. It appears in the photo that the hot end of a VU meter is on pin 18 to apply 3300 ohms, is that correct ? If you could explain in a bit more detail I'd be most appreciative . I was hoping for an easy volt mod, like the 8500 pencil trick, but I guess there's more to it this time, eh?

thanks,

Erik
