OverVolted RAM
I think my m/b is overvolting my RAM, it reads it as 2.704 constant, ie does not fluctuate… with is .2V over the specification of 2.5… It may not seem serious but at 2.75v (+10%) i think is the limit for the RAM chips…
Is this really a cause for concern

2.7 is fine especially handy if you're OC'ing.

my ram is generic, 400mhz DDR, with timings of 8 3 3 3

If it works why worry about it? I would try a memory tester to see if there is any issues.

majority of all the ram i've used.. even though default is 2.5.... i read usually 2.6-2.8 volts..... it's when it get below 2.5 volts that i think you should worry....

True..also some manufactures even recommend you bump the ram .1-.2 beyond spec. OCZ being a good example.

BTW... i might want to add that 2.9 or 3.0 volts without the user perposely setting that... might be something to worry about.....

hmmm....some of us would like to have RAM overvoltaged to 3.0V  without having to volt-mod the mobo

which abit mobo would that be ?! Abit NF7 and AN7 (new) are maxxing out at 2.9 just as any good nforce2 mobo. You have to volt mod to allow over 2.9...
