ahh just saw that, good ones Judas,
the QX6850 runs 400x9 3.6GHz on Gigabyte X38T-DQ6 will all stock volts except memory voltage,
try that on your X38-DQ6 board.

Mmmm if someone can beat my current total score (P35 based) with their rig on single gfx, and then also top my (unsubmitted) X38 scores which I have in my posession with a resubmission of higher scores... I will give them $25USD (Will be sent via Paypal of course) as an incentive to get some competition running
-Alex
EDIT: This offer is open to anything in the realm of water/air cooling, and stands until beaten. Must be single GPU setups only...and must conform to current Super Modified: Single Graphics guidelines.
EDIT2: If the sentence above is a tad confusing heres the run down.
You submit a Total score that beats my Current score of 16,644
I then submit my new X38 benchmarks and total score (hopefully above your first submission; haha )
You then retaliate by submitting a Total score above my X38's score
You win Super Modified Single Graphics and get 25$ for participating and challenging
Easy enough eh?
Just remember stay within the standards set by Super Mod Single GFX
GL Guys

Chaos: Looks like you don't know what to do with your money
I will beat your (current) scores, you just have to wait a few months/years

chaos... give me a bit, i'm still rearanging a few things...
Plus there's no way i'll be able to beat the scores, even using 2 x1900's in crossfire.

lol..
the only thing i think i'd score well in would be Hardrive performance (4x (possibly 5x) segate Barracuda 7200.11's in raid 0) and if i can push a good overclock....... Depends on if i end up selling this sucker before i get it finalized....
looking at a few charts though, the asus board you got was showing some "better" performance then this gigabyte board....
trust me.... i'll fire up some results as soon as i can .....

It's funny. I saw your old 14k back in the benching forum, and was like "I CAN BEAT THAT! I CAN SOOOO DO THIS!"
And after trying my best....
No... No I can't.
I did 3.5ghz, but this 8800GTX isn't cutting it, and breaking into the 14k, muchless 16k, I'm realizing, is more and more difficult. 14k I think is doable. 16K? No. I'd need to drop the cash on an 8800 Ultra, and mayhap a new mainboard. Some experience and skill with OC'ing would be good too.
Therms have improved significantly since I discovered an epic caliber failure on my part (don't ask) regarding my Heatsink, and I can't get it stable @ 450x8. Stable @ 390x9 @ 1.40v but I hesitate to go higher than that without better therms.
So. 13806 for me until I cave on a Thermalright 120 Extreme, or go water, and figure a good method of Overclocking this 8800GTX.

Ehh 16k isnt that hard when your quad does 3.9ghz on air.
The new scores are modest improvements
Awaiting someone to beat the current ones, I know at least 2-3 people have the potential to.

It would seem BIOS 0505 doesnt like 4ghz with futuremark
Will retweak, as 0505 is better than the rest for performance
EDIT: Seems board on 0505 doesnt like FSB 475+ haha

well... i have a very good chance of not contending..
considering i ended up with 2x2's for ram (OCZ 2x2gb) which are PC6400
but i should still be able to manage a damn good overclock..
just gotta decide between a scythe infinity or artic cooler freezer 7 pro......
