i think i'll put up my sister's comp upto the challenge as well .
and -jAk- (A.K.A. jaKup @ nVnews.....A.K.A. nVnews mod.....on top of that.....i work w/the guy !!!!) should be taken down cuz he hasn't updated his scores and hasn't complied with the rules imposed to us by DOM.
Not only that....i think there should now be another categor for those people who run SLI configurations.

I am going to bench and try for the ATI Pro Stock...again. I was beat out by an SLI setup a few weeks ago. I was wondering if you guys think SLI rigs should have there own category? I mean I could clock my stuff way up to the limits and an SLI setup with 2 6800 Ultras at stock will beat a single card clocked way up everytime handsdown.

i agree. seeing as SLI cost sooo much more than regular pci-e, and it can beat even a supermodified system, it really deserves it's own category.
maybe a new category that involves FX-55's and sli cards could be arranged

well, i don't agree w/high end CPUs in their own category...well, we already have that, it's the intel/amd supermodified???? well anyways....i do agree that there should be an SLI division. Most peeps who have an SLI set up will more than likely have at a minimum a 3500+.

I'd be up for the SLI division I guess if DHzer0point drivers are allowed that is.

you can enter right now under the "AMD pro stock" competition, but others are likely to complain because you have two video cards

did that confuse anyone else? let them complain about us destroying them in their competition, this way we have out own SLi devision? that doesn't make sense...

If they complain loud enough it may force the creation of an SLI division..Now do you get it??

i think that the only person who would do this would be DOM, and would probably need approval from Zardon. I think that as we continue to bring up the topic of having an SLI division, that eventually one will be opened up.
I think what they (Zardon and other Admins), is for intel to release their SLI boards in order to make both an Intel and AMD division of the SLI competition.

wouldn't the latest entry for AMD mainstream actually be condidered AMD stock? it's a xp-m oc'ed to 2.some ghz and a 9800xt rather than the limit of 9800pro.

Cant really see where yer comin from, n where extacly an xt will fit into da mix if not here, would a 256 MB R360 core 9800 pro overclocked to default XT speeds of 412/365 not count cause it may as well be a XT? Its Just a slightly better core runnin on the same architechture, Just as a 9800pro is to a 9700pro. Also the specs for the Mainstream CPU says all AMD Athlon XP 2800+ CPU types/CORE
Not really a big deal really, juss reformatted n benched after n didnt really see any score increase so i figured i might as well post cause i was thinkin bout it a while. If its wrong n needs ousted, owells, dats why we gots da super mods!

i dunno, i'm just saying what the rules say. the processor is shady, because it's running much faster than the 2800+, but then again, it started off lower, and there weren't any limits put on proc oc's. but the rules do clearly say that the 9800pro is the cut off point.
i dunno though, the amd mainstream isn't my arena anymore, so i don't really care. it's just hard seeing my win for that arena going further and further back into the history books :P
*edit*
looks like dom has ruled in your favor, congrats dude

nah, congrats, overclocking is allowed as long as at stock your processor was a 2800 or lower. and i think by 9800 or lower its just cant be a current generation (x800 or 6800) card. i did enjoy having the avater for a month or so, but i dont think any amount of tweaking will get my 9500pro up to a 9800xt's performance!

i read the above post - no 9800XTs in mainstream!!!!!!! (unless dom says so
are you saying that you had ur pro flashed to xt and then OVERCLOCKED to 459Mhz?
or do your have an XT with oc'd settings
btw what are your CPU and northbridge tempps hobo? and how many case fans youve got?

maybe a rethink of the categories is in order? We've got SLI in the mix now, and I don't think you can even buy Barton XP cpus anymore...most places sell Semperon's as the entry point, A64s for anyone considering performance and FX55/57 for uber elitists.
FX & SLI should be the supermodified category methinks. It will become even more complicated when dual cores start to come out...
Of course, the fact that my rig is too good for AMD Stock/Mainstream but not good enough to compete in Pro / Supermodified categories has nothing to do with my opinion.
