New Fastest Rig(s) on DH Competition
Recently we have been getting several requests to expand the Fastest Rig on DriverHeaven competition. So enlight of this, we have decided to add a few classes to the competition. With this expansion there is going to be a class division that will make it easier for more people to compete. In order to give people time to get some good scores, the first winner's will be posted for Monday, March 22nd. This will give you time to get your computers in shape. So break out the toys and start playing.
The class divisions will work as follows:
Super Modified: This class is for computers on the extreme edge of over clocking. It includes ALL sponsored computers, volt mods, water-cooling, peltier, Prometia, Vaporchill, and anything else on the extreme edge of Enthusiast Over clocking.
Pro Stock: All Athlon 64 and Intel P4 3.2 GHz and above, on air cooling, no extensive mods, no volt mods, or extreme cooling solutions allowed.
Stock: All AMD Athlon XP and Intel P4 up to 3.2Ghz, on air cooling, no volt mods, no extensive mods, changing the NB chipset cooling solution is allowed as long as it is with a passive or fan solution that is mounted in the stock location, and is stock appearing.
FutureMark, to many, is the industry standard for benchmarking and their products are a free download and they also are pretty secure to fraud markings, so we want to see your 3dmark2001se results, your 3dmark2003 patch 340, (only approved WHQL and OMEGA drivers please), to eliminate the possibility of inaccurate bench marks, and PCMark2004 compare links in here. In the event of a version update to any of the benchmarks, scores must be updated.
The winners will be given MASSIVELY oversized avatars in respect of their CPU class, for Intel and AMD, but be aware the avatars will be moving like a TROPHY between the members who break each others scores. Just to make sure that your hard work does not go without notice, each person that successfully challenges a person’s score will retain the avatar for 1 week, running from Monday thru Sunday. In doing this it will keep a single class from switching hands several times in a short period of time.
This competition is open to everyone, staff included, and all I need to see are your three compare links from the above programs. All compare links MUST remain active. And DH reserves the right to refuse any scores that may appear to be inaccurate. Only 1 avatar can be retained by any given person or sponsored team.
SCORING ATTENTION: PCMark2002 is no longer supported. PCMark2004 "free version" is now required for entry.
3DMark2001SE +
3DMark2003 +
PCmark2004 =
TOTAL
You must have at least 2 benchmark scores that are higher + a combined score that is higher, in order to make a challenge.
Include the following information with entry
Class that you are entering (P4 Stock)
Motherboard used, as well as any mods
CPU @ stock and overclock speeds
Video card used @ stock and overclock speeds and cooling used, as well as any mods
Memory used
Cooling type and specs (AIR: SLK-900u w/80mm Tornado)
ALL SCORES AND COMMENTS ARE TO BE POSTED IN HERE. PLEASE PM ME FOR ALL VALID CHALLENGES/ENTRIES

The above description covers it pretty well. The "stock" description is only pertaining to the actual components in your computer, as in "unmodified" voltages beyond what the BIOS will allow, ANY air cooling solution on the graphics card, like the Artic Cooling and Zalman heatpipe, only "stock appearing" cooling solutions on the North Bridge, and of course "any" air cooling solution on the CPU.
Most people that are overclocking with the NF2 boards are using SLK-900 series cooling solutions with a 92mm fan. They are also using some sort of after market passive heat pipe or air cooling on there graphics card. This class is pretty much for those people and yet also includes the P4 segment that are overclocking there 2.4c up to 3.0Ghz.
STOCK, is a class that covers MOST of the people here on DH. It is a low cost over clocking class. You take a basic NF7-S motherboard, AMD 2500+, 9800 Pro, good memory, add an aftermarket cooler to your graphics card and CPU.....and overclock it to see what you end up with
The REAL competition in this class is going to be for the P4 guys. There are several people on here with the 2.4c. With a limit of 3.0Ghz, this will really prove to be interesting!! This will really show who the "tweaker's" are with the Intel crowd.

You have some pretty nice scores there for a stock system. But I think that some of you are missing the point here.....somehow. This is a FASTEST RIG competition, that means OVERCLOCKING YOUR SYSTEM.....the limitations are listed above.
Here is a basic AMD system for the "stock" class.
Abit NF7-S v2.0 (stock except for better low profile north bridge cooler that is stock appearing, better TIM)
Barton 2500+ cooled with a SLK-900U and 92mm Smartfan
OCZ PC3500 DC 2 x 256
Radeon 9800 Pro
Twin Raptor's RAID 0
Nice computer tower with PLENTY of cooling and BIG PSU
Take the basics up above or similar components, over clock the hell out of them and list your scores.
THIS IS AN OVERCLOCKING COMPETITION.......FOR ALL CLASSES.
The only thing separating the classes are your CPU speed/type and what you can do to your hardware. The additional 2 classes are so that more people on DH can take a shot at having an avatar and be recognized for there ability in understanding overclocking and not have to compete against $5000+ computer systems, or even a Barton going up against a 4Ghz P4 or an overclocked Athlon 64. The playing field has been leveled!!!
Let's see some of those awesome scores that have been showing up in the last few months.

If your post is removed from this thread it is due to an invalid entry submission or because your scores were not high enough to beat someone else. Remember all 3 scores need to be submitted and all links to your scores must remain active in order to keep your avatar.
If you want one of the special avatars..please read through the post's and enter your scores!!

PCMark 2004
Due to PCMark2002 no longer being supported.......there will be a change in the benchmarks used for this competition.
Everyone that has submitted scores to the contest........this includes current winner's and challengers.......please edit your entries to remove your PCMark 2002 scores and include a PCMark2004 score and adjust your final scores as needed. PM's will be sent out on Wed for those that have yet to adjust there entries to reflect the use of PCMark2004. Due to this change in benchmarks........this week can be used to tweak your systems a bit.........then the challenge and possible changing of avatars will happen on Sunday April 11th.
This amount of time should be plenty for udating scores for the current winner's, anyone that doesn't change there scores by then will be considered as having an invalid entry and will forfiet there avatar. Though I am sure that this shouldn't pose a problem to anyone.
Thanks for being patient during this unexpected change.
