System Temperatures ... and im pretty happy with them....
im not a hardcore overclocker but I thought I would try and get my system temps down even lower than before with my overclocked 2100+ XP system at 1.95ghz core volt 1.9 with my overclocked GF4 leadtek 4600 at 330/755mhz. Enermax EG651p 550w ATX power supply, Delta FFB0812SHE 80MM fan/Artic Silver III compound, Swiftech MC462=BA heatsink, Kingmax DDR2700, 512 meg x 3 = 1.5 gig RAM, 2 CAS 2.75V
so I went for one of my favourite companies to supply the fans and opted for these YSTECH FD1238 120 mm fan Specifications : » Speed - 2800RPM » Output - 135CFM » Decibels - 40.5dBA » Dimensions - 120x120x38 I added 4 of these above in my case, two at the top blasting upwards as the heat rises and the other two on the side of the case over the mobo, blasting out. --------------------------------- along with 3 xx YS-TECH FD8125 80mm Fan Specifications : » Speed - 3000RPM » Output - 45.2CFM » Decibels - 34.2dBA » Dimensions - 80x80x25 2 of these above at the front at the bottom sucking in, with filters to remove dust. ------------------------ and a YS-TECH FD8125 SILENT 80mm fan Specifications : » Speed - 1850RPM » Output - 27CFM » Decibels - 20dBA » Dimensions - 80x80x25 1 of these at the back near the delta/swiftech combo, blowing out. -------------------------- I also have a PCI slot fan blowing upwards onto the graphics card with a hard drive cooling bay ... after running a 30 minute full load render these are my temps ..... I used to run two similar YS-Tech 120mm fans in my case along with 4 80mms fans and my computer definitely sounded like it was going to take off! The interior was nice and cool tho

wow! and I thought my 3x80mm sunons and 1x80mm delta 48cfm was loud.... Man if you're ever missing, the first place we'll look for ya is in your pc

well it was an experiment to break the full load of under 40c, and ive done it, now that I have, well im not so sure I can handle the noise factor

Definitely H2O...All the good, none of the noise!
You did one helluva a job on that one dude! Your temps are 2c Degrees better than my XP 1600+ @ 1710 @ 1.98Vcore and mine IS watercooled. I can only imagine the noise though...lol. Until I got H2O, I never realized how loud my hard drives are.
 If a little noise doesn't bother you, Swiftech makes a really nice H2O setup complete with waterblock for about 400 USD. Mine is a Koolance and I love it! |

room temps are around 23-26 and case temps are normally around the same.

I run similar fans in my rig and my temps are on the average about 40-45c under a load. My office I have the computers in get's the least amount of heating and cooling, so it runs a bit higher in the summer and lower in the winter. Fantastic temps for that overclock though. Do you ever go away from your computer feeling like your ears are ringing from the noise yet
?? I go through days where I don't notice the noise at all and other days it sounds like a F-16 with full afterburners. |

Lol... if you guys want to have the cooling without the noise... then just run your comp open-case, it's better than all the fans in the world
- (begin flaming NOW!!!) LOL ... As for noise... we got a Dual 2.2 Xeon (From Dell) with the dual channel DDR solution (E7500 was it?) and 5 36 UW SCSI GB HD's. Between the CPU fans... the HD's and the dual redundant powersupply... (not to mention case cooling)... i was seriously thinking about getting earplugs ... thank god that thing is going in the server room LOL!!! ......... Nice temps, BTW Zardon. |

this was really an experiment and the temperatures are great yes, but I dont know if I can live with the noise.... im seriously thinking of watercooling in the next couple of months, I might wait until the hammers come out though.

Judging by the way all computers these days are requiring ridiculously loud fans to cool properly, I'm predicting that watercooling will become the standard in cooling in a year or two.
(anything higher than 39dbA will drive me nuts  ) |
