Just got a gadget - but!

http://www.avgs-tech.co.uk/sys_guardian.htm

Nice looking unit, and I've got USB headers to use for front USB (my case doesn't have it), and I'd probably bring the audio inputs to the front, but leave the speakers plugged in at the back.

The obvious space is between two drives (I'll come to that), but I fear it will be a struggle to load the lower drive without it attempting to eat the cables or fouling them on eject.

I could put them together, but I've always tried to keep a clear bay between optical drives as they run rather warm - the DVD-ROM (currently lower) actually seems to run warmer than the 12x CD-RW drive.

Anyone used any similar units? - any problems with fouling?
Or on stacking drives ?

My current layout in 4 available 5 1/4" bays is (don't laugh):

5 1/4" Floppy (I know it's a dinosaur, but I have some legacy odds & sods on 5 1/4", and my systems ALWAYS have one)
CD-RW
----- spare ----
DVD-ROM

The old floppy, was intended to be between the drives, but fouled the power connector on the motherboard.

If I put the gizmo there, I'm blocking the air space between them, and I'm not sure if the cables will foul the DVD-ROM.

Can't remember if there was a reason I didn't reassemble the 3 in the top 3 bays, not sure if the second one down clears the motherboard or not ... so annoying when you were hoping for a quick fix.
Aiming a mirror round the back, I'd say it doesn't clear it
