I am using the Gigabyte GA-7NNXP F15, just curious what you did to unlock the additional settings? I've noticed the Gigabyte bios is very limited and the "windows based overclocking utility" that comes w/ the mobo doesn't work AT ALL haha.

No, I've just never edited a BIOS before and wanted to tinker around with it a bit. Never really thought about doing it before until I read your post either.

I don't suppose you could edit an old compaq laptop bios? Obviosly it's not Award, but i think it might be some form of Phoenix... I would like to be able to specify cpu voltages and FSB but I don't think any of the compaq bioses even had such options.... I'll see if i can't give you a link to the support pages with different bios versions.
The laptop is a Compaq Presario 12XL325 if you want to look. It does have a ziff socket but there aren't any jumpers on the board (I know, I opened it up and looked at it and put some Ceramique on the cpu and stuff).

Hope this link works: linky poo
The oldest version seems to have the most options in the menus.

your right it is a Phoenix... i took a look at it iseing the Phoenix bios editer demo wich ultra sucks anyways.... thier didnt look like anything was disabled they somelind dont code the menu options in the firs place.

Also, people fail to under stand every board with the same chipset has the same core bios, the bios is mad up of many files packed togeather. The actually "bios rom". options rom, epa images, boot block, cpu unicode etc... I'm learning more and more as i go
