New mod in progress
I'm gonna attach this HS to my r9700pro
I'm gonna double up the fans, and use this structure to support the additional weight.
I need to drill the holes and get some bolts, but this is almost finished. I have it all marked out and measured.

LOL, --I didn't want to say it again either-
But every time I see you having any problems whatsoever, I want to tell you to do some spring cleaning to see if that helps, but I don't want to beat a dead horse....
But really, all you need is some filters-

Huh? I can't believe it man-- look at that ribbon cable- the creases are full to the rim dude- It's just dusty.
Edit- run your finger along that ribbon and the bottom of the case and psu- then take a pic of your finger-- just as a joke.

I completely blew it out with an air compressor just 2 days ago. (I wasnt sure if that was the problem with the mobo)

With all my fans, mine would look the same in two months I'm sure- I wish I had a better camera to show you the difference.

Yeah, BWX, I have an Antec knockoff case and I put one of those 1/4 inch thin SOS scrubbing pads on the 2 front intakes, holy hell. Lets say it's a green pad, and almost all of it turned grey from the dust. Simply amazing.

I don't have any filters, but I've gone through 4 big cans of air in the last 2 months- I have to take the cover off and dust it out at least once a week. I moved to place that doesn't have forced air heating now- so it's not as bad as it used to be- but still. Fan's = dust..
If it goes for too long for me- I take my rig all apart - including PSU- and dust it all out. Then put it back together.
That does look like a cool mod though, Craig.
I would just take the opportunity since your already messing around with your case- to really get in there and eliminate the dust as a possible cause of any problems- It really messes my rig up bad - my temps get higher- my voltages start moving around, my OC isn't as high--- seriously it does damage.
But you said you live in a dry climate- I guess the dust would have allot less moisture in it - so it wouldn't be as bad as it is here where the moisture is higher....

How many 80mm fans does that make for your card?

You need to take it apart and wash it! Least the case! Feather dust off the mobo and cards... it just looks like some serious cleaning neglect there man. you can eat out my case or off of my mobo it's so clean.. It hard to believe you blew it out unless ts supper busty there and in that case you'd need an air purifier

Air Blowers will do nothing to the dust attached to things, they get ris of the large particles but not the particles you see there, a good WIPE WITH A CLOTH will do far better
Why so many fans. Get some larger 120 or 92 's and replace them.
And why the PSU at the bottom heating the case up (I assume you do put a side on it sometimes (I don't but I'm not in a dusty area)

I never put any of the sides on. the bottom PSU is essentially shooing air into a dead area of the case where nothing important gets hot, then it goes out the case.
It looks alot better without sides, also I cant have my main PSU setup like it is with the sides on. (I have it out of the case so the CPU has more room to draw fresh air from.)

That PSU is shooting hot-air right below a fan that will be throwing it uppwards towards the HS-Fan which will be blowing it over the HS.
You also have 3 Fans all blowing at the same spot from what I can see, you should move them so they all work together not against each other and causing 'dead air' pockets.
Also with that much dist on the surfaces you really are reducing the thermal efficency of the surfaces (chips, resistors, heatsink).
You should work to be able to put the sides back on and have some dust filter on your intake fans and have you fans setup so the Case is under pressure (ie more faned air going in than coming out).
Dust filters could easily be nylon stocking or something.

I have done testing with each fan, and each time I added one I could overclock higher. If it didn't have a benefit I removed it.
EDIT: wait, you say its sending air to the videocard? huh? if anything its taking away from the air the videocard gets.

There's a Fan sat on some plastic blocks. If that is working the correct way around it is blowing air up onto the video card Heasink although it's hard to see the vid card in the picture.
THE PSU sat at the bottom front shows the power lead at the back therfore this is pumping the air from the PSU (which is hot) under the above mantioned fan.
Just take the PSU out of the case would be better.
Is this a PSU just for the fans ?

I think that's an ugly mod (not b/c of the dust). It has no aesthetic feel to it...

If the air goes to the front (you reversed the PSU fan I assume)
Then it is competing for air with the fan pusing air up to the G-Card, you should still move it to get a better flow through the upward fan.
Just things to try.

If you are looking to keep that PC cool then start with doing a SERIOUS cleaning of it. Dust and dirt will help hold heat in. As it was stated on here, take the PC apart and wipe everything down good so that there is no dust. Then once you have it cleaned blow it out daily if where you live is that dusty. I take mine outside once every other week and blow it out with the Air Compressor. You could eat out of my case without any worries of dirt. Dirt + Electronics = Heat. Gotta keep that thing cleaner then it is to keep it as cool as you want. If it doesn't look that bad in person but does in the picture then take a picture of your PC daily to see how dirty it is....

Yeah, what I thought is right then, that PSU is pumping HOT AIR into your case! That alone makes al your other mods kinda useless.
If you want to run a dual PSU- have the fan outing out of the case- no "wall" you build will ever make the heat go away- it will build up in the case and just make it hotter..
Heres my Dual PSU settup- not pretty , but functional and doesn't throw heat in the case. You said you didn't care what it looks like anyway.
EDIT--
By the way craig, what are your CPU and system temps with the case doors on?

I dont have the side panels anymore, I recycled them a while ago. My PSU shoots air out the front of the case! pay attention.
Drive: Yeah, that did seem pretty funny while I typed it.
maybe this makes things a little clearer:

You said it goes to the front of the case, not OUT the front of the case- Does it go directly out? Did you cut a big hole in the from of your case? I took that to mean that the hot air points towards the fromt of the case, so it's not effecting anything. If that's true, the I'm saying that allot of hot air gets inside your case-
But if you don't use any side panels anyway- what is the point of all these mods?

See- that's what I'm saying- it doesn't just "go out of the case" - I'm saying it builds up and makes things hotter.

theres a vent in the front of the case that the air goes out. The vent used to support dual 80MM fans, but with the sides off they did no good.
The mods are for cooling. I dont really understand what you mean.
