Big Grin RAMsinks. 9800. Overclockability!!!

I just installed some aluminum RAMsinks Radeon 9800. It is now running at Memory Clock 405/378
Core Clock 340/337.

How far should I push this puppy?

Whoa, this was late at night... sorry about that. I meant to say "I just installed some aluminum RAMsinks for my Radeon 9800 (Flashed BIOS to make it a 9800 Pro). It is now running at Memory Clock 405/378 Core Clock 340/337.

How much further could I overclock safely without overheating?

They don't have to be syncronized... but I made a mistake...the core clock is the speed of the memory clock and the memory clock is the speed of the core clock... I got them mixed up.

huh? how is your core running at both 405/378? That has nothing to do with syncronization. You mean you have one of the saphire dual chips cards, or what???

ok... do you mean (for your core for example) that your core is 378 stock speeds and you got it to 405? (same idea for the memory)

EDIT: if that isn't it then i too am lost lost lost

Wow... maybe I'm just an idiot... sorry. I posted 405/378 to represent 405 as the current clock setting and 378 as the stock speed... I thought that's what everyone else did... now I understand it works like this: [core clock]/[memory clock]. Sorry about this... but anyway... hopefully any confusion has now been erased and we can move on with the question which IS how far do you think I should push this card?

stock 400/300(ddr) o/c to 450/330(ddr).

meaning gpu first memory second.now don't that look clear enough.

gman[csr] yours looked like you have 2 gpu speeds and 2 memory speeds on the same card
