I haven't done any overclocking yet (due to RAM shortcomings) but it does seem to be dissipating heat much better than the default passive aluminum heatsink my mobo had come with. Just for your reference, I ordered the part from Frozencpu.com (New York) and it cost me ~$47 after shipping (I did 3-day shipping). I would've ordered the MCX-159 that came with just with the side hooks (for Intel mobos) but at the time I ordered it, it wasn't available.
