OC'ed noob question

Ok first let me say that i never did or mess with that before and i would like to know how much OC'ed i could do with my system and the simple way to do it.

My spec:

Soyo Dragon Ultra Platinum SY KT-400 with latest bios
Athlon XP 2400+ AXDA Thoroughbred
512 DDR PC2100
Standard case with a 350W PS + 2 extra case fans

The tbredAs usually max out at around 1.9GHz.
As a rule you should drop the multi and raise the FSB, but with pc2100 you will hit a ceiling pretty fast.

yes, the easiest way is the wire trick.

This: http://www.mushkin.com/epages/Mushki...ct/View/991121 Is probably the best price/overclockability ram you will find. You just need to add your own heat spreader. The BH5 chips are some of the best ram chips ever made, and they perform execelently with high voltage. I run mine with 2.9V (Although I do have higher end ram, its still based on the BH5) and it hits 221MHz at 2-2-2-5, but I have it at 2-2-2-12 because of the nforce ram controller bug. I am mobo limited right now.

Well, as I said before 1.9GHz is commonly the limit for tbredAs and thats what you have.

Yes the wire trick is really easy, all you do is make a U shaped wire and drop it in the pin holes on the mobo, it couldn't really be simpler.
