I tried the zalman heat pipe and ordered a nice ocsystems one piece cooler very similiar to the one above you are looking at. the zalman performed exact same as stock and the ocsystems one gained me a whole 5 mhz both on core and mem. Not worth the time, effort, energy and money if you ask me. I would just stick with stock cooling or seriously mod it with a stock amd hsf or something....

and how would i go about seriously modding it then ?
are the parts to do it on www.overclockers.co.uk or www.overclock.co.uk ?
if they are tell me what to get and when the parts arrive walk me though this lol
though didnt the zalman one you got have no cooler on it ? it was passive right.
i was thinking about getting the giant II and the zalman bracket and 92mm fan for extra coolness

do you have any old heat sinks laying around? I know I've bought two retail amd chips in the past and never did use their stock heat sink fans so I've those laying in a box.... then I would lap it with up to about 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper on a flat surface (glass is good) and finish it off with brasso Then mount it on. Get ya some cheap thermatake ram sinks and you'll be set. For a good idea on mounting the heat sink see here

When I first put my Zalman on, I got the same results. Then I added the side fan and I droped 20 F while under full load.........
