Will my rig go faster?
Hi,
Been doing some overclocking lately and didnt know what performance I should be expecting from my rig. Are my FSB and CPU multi values below what i should be able to set?
Also my score for 3dmark01 is just below what i want! Trying to break the 17K barrier Has anyone done this with similar spec system?

Hello,
did you overclock your video card ?
Which core voltage do you have ?
I think you should break the 19k or 20k with this video card.

I have used driver cleaner 1.9 to wipe all those NVIDIA files. I installed 44.67 drivers from guru3d and that helped. I have just oc my FSB again to 225 so its now 225x10.
I will oc my FX5900 to Core: 470 and mem: 925 and get back to ya.
O and my CPU voltage is 1.75
memory voltage is 2.7
See ya

Hey Mitchelson be carefull with your Vcore on this mobo. My voltage is not accurate. Mine runs .50 moue than what I set it at. So if I set mine at 1.750, It's really running at 1.8. Aparently I'm not the only one either.

Could I overclock my FSB more? I got it at 110/110 with Duron 950 (effectivly 1.04 gHz now) and PC100 RAM, non-matching brands. I tried 112/112 with Windows program, but system froze. Could I do it with my modded BIOs I have, without killing memory or CPU?

@Stormy I think you have reached the maximum FSB with your memory.
@Driver 7 I think he will always watch his system with motherboard monitor or
something like that, this is necessary if you overclock.
@mitchelson We are waiting for your results

Your right man....... my damn board is say'n 1.8 and the following utilites all the same thing
SiSioft Sandra Ultra
Aidia32
Asus probe software
My CPU temps went up to 56 full load and idle was sitting on 50!
Wasnt too impressed. Sooooo I have told those ASUS people and await some feedback pronto!
I have now adjusted my mobo:
FSB: 210
CPU Multi: 10.5
CPU Voltage 1.7
Temp on full load: 54
I will benchmark later tonight, before i hit the deck for some shut eye. Got to take the girlfriend home first - she hates my PC!

You can get the drivers here
I installed the 45.23's this afternoon. But I have not tested them yet as I'm messin with my cooling.
Right now FSB's @ 200. mobo's Vcore is set @ 1.725 in the bios but it's accually running @ 1.792.
Check this out. THERMAL IMAGES - A7N8X DELUXE This will help with cooling.
I am also thinking about doing this VDD Mod. I'm not real good with doing mods. But this sounds like a cake walk. VDD Voltage Mod.

@Stormy Nobody can tell you this, you have to try it.
@mitchelson, Driver 7 The voltage from the motherboard has nothing to with your
cpu temperature ! If you increase the voltage from your motherboard, the temps from
the north- and southbridge increases also and it is possible, that your system chrashs.
If you want to lower your cpu temps, you have to lower your cpu voltage or get a better cpu cooler.

OK I guess I did say "mobo's Vcore" , But never the less. I was reffering to the CPU Voltage. That being the Vcore. And the refference was regarding the bug with the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe, where if you set your CPU's Vcore to say 1.800, Which I sometimes do, It is accually being set to 1.850. Which is kinda scary. I mean my Athlon 2800+ was not really not all that cheap. And frying it would suck.

@Driver 7 Sorry, your are right, sometimes my english is too bad to understand all.
I read it another time and now I understand, that you mean the cpu voltage.

Hey Mr 7.
been in touch with Zardon in re to my mobo and he has offered some excellent advice. I'll test my new settings and get back to ya.
Also with those Starstorm drivers....... which ones did you choose to download? And are they any better than the guru3d ones? Since we have high end cards do you think we should use the performance drivers or the quality ones?

Well Zardon mentioned the Memory settings being set to 8-2-2-2 and running the CPU at "Agressive".
Also dont adjust the PCI-AGP voltage. Keep all other settings at default . With NForce boards keep the memeory in Sync with FSB.
I'll do some testing on Monday and let you know how i go.
