Default Post Here's my Overclocking...

Overclocking:
CPU: AMD Duron 950 mHz with FSB of 100 mHz. Successfully clocked a FSB of 110 mHz and and speed is now 1046 mHz.
RAM: Generic No-name RAM limited CPU clocking. This stuff can't go above 110 mHz.
PCI Slots: Up from 33.3 mHz, it is now 36.7 mHz
Video Card: MY ATi Radeon 8500DV is now clocked at this: GPU: 247.5 mHz and RAM is at 396 mHz, up from GPU of about 225 mHz, and RAM of around 370 mHz.
That's it. I was just about to see if I could bench it on 3dmark 2003, and if not that, 2001.
I'm using the latest Omega Drivers.

Both google toolbar and opera are better popup blockers.

Try lowering the timings on your ram to get your FSB higher.

Well, did the 3dMark 03 tests... got 795 marks... as opposed to my 200 or so at default settings. Pretty good I think.

Thius is with the timing lowered. I'm gonna get real stuff one day And then I'll get a better FSB.

From a 10% FSB overclock - that's impossible!

With better RAM, you could have tweaked the multplier lower
http://www.ocinside.de/go_e.html?/ht...resistors.html
And raised the FSB to 133

One of the overclocking sites, I believe, has a multiplier switch mod for the motherboard - though you need to be highly competent with a soldering iron to attempt that kind of mod.

Best choice with that motherboard, is an Athlon XP, decent RAM, and the overclockers BIOS so you can fiddle with the FSB in smaller steps.

i agree. must have included all his changes & is previous score was based on some sort of different drivers &/or poor/faulty installation/setup. either way he did something good!

Durons are not very good overclockers... they run excessivelly hot, and even with your generic ram you are probably pushing the confones of the CPUs overclockability. An inexpensive 1700+ TBred B, and two 128MB Apacer PC2100 would do you a world of good... for around 100 dollars.
