New System
Abit NF7-S Rev. 2
Barton 2500+ HHC-001 Heatpipe w/80mm Tornado mod
OCZ PC3500 EL DDR
Radeon 9800 Pro
Lite On 52x32x52 CDRW
Lite On 16x DVD
Asus TV tuner/capture card
Antec PP1080 w/TP 430w

Got it up and running, but I thinkt he CPU is holding me back a little. Cant seem to get it over 2300 mhz, was kind of hoping for more. Tried every combination I could think of and it just wouldn't do it. Here is what I was able to get out of it.
10x 225.5= 2255.1 mhz stable
Sandra- CPU- 8435/3358 MEM- 3229/3004
PCMark- CPU- 6931 MEM- 6694
3DM2001- 17937 (performance setting's, no overclock)
10x 227.4= 2274.4 mhz "sketchy"
Sandra- CPU- 8494/3419 MEM- 3250/3032
PCMark- CPU- 6989 MEM- 6719
3DM2001- crashed back to windows
Vcore: 1.775v
MemV: 2.8v
Chipset: 1.7v
Memory timings: 5-2-2-2 1T
33c idle 38c load

Nice o/c! That 225 FSB coupled with a Radeon 9800 pro is gonna be a gaming demon. And also a high-flying 3D bencher

WHEN it happens, I think they should just plunk the other huge avatar right under the AMD one- that would be cool.

Sweet rig
Great job Roadee very impressive marks!
I'm sure you'll figure out the sweet spot for your 2500 and hit 2300(atleast). I've got my 2500@ 210X11, 2315.4 right now but had to up the vcore to 1.8 to get it prime stable and play around with alot of mem timings to get my corsair 2700LL to run at 418mHz duel channel.

UPDATE
I had a bad BIOS flash that was making the temperature read 10c lower than actual. I can finally get over the 2300mhz mark.....but the temps are too high for my liking. Gonna order a new SLK-900u and throw on a 80mm Tornado to get the temps to where I want them, and to have a better mounting system than what I have. So at least things are finally looking up. I am wanting 2500mhz pretty badly!!
Will let you know how it goes when the new heat sink comes in.

Wow, a 2500+ will do that on air? Very impressive if they do. How does a B.2500+ @ 2500mhz rate compared to a P4 3.2ghz? Does it beat it hands down? If you don't mind me asking, how much do one of those Barton 2500's cost?

The_Neon_Cowboy
Well I am concentrating on CPU and MEM scores right now...trying to find the sweet spot...and control the heat issues. Once I get those scores to where I want them, then I will start working on the vid card. Right now I have the fastest system I have ever built for myself. But it will only be worth while to me if I can be able to use the speed on an everyday basis.....I pretty much live on this computer!! So everyday performance is very important to me.
By the way.....how is your system doing Neon?? I heard you finally got all of your stuff in..better be pictures soon!!!
