rolleyes CPUCool

ello!

just curious about this software called CPUCool, current version something around 7.2.4 I think.
anyways, has anyone tried/tested it? are there any risks in using it? I mean I've been using it for
a few days now and it seems to work fine, in normal work-usage in windows, my athlon xp
temperature drops from about 55 degrees C to about 45 degrees C . quite good I think as
windows runs allright while the cooling is on.

yupyup, enough writing now

thanks!

You on 98/ME by any chance? Any way, don't forget to disable it when you benchmark. I used CPU Idle, it DID lower my CPU's temp, but also has a traumatic effect on 3DMark and such, plus the image gets choppier than usual in graphics intensive stuff.

actually I'm on WinXP Pro SP1 . win98/ME software only or? ..
and of course I disable it while benchmarking and running games and so on. it does say that some TV-Tuner-cards may not work with it but mine does so.

so it's ok to use it? it won't hurt the cpu in anyway or something?
