Need some help with my crappy compaq
Hello, I'm new to this forum. I was hoping one of you people could help me out with overclocking my Compaq Presario. I have tried CPU Cool and SoftFSB, but I don't know how to find out my PLL information. Could someone please help with this? If you need anymore info about my Bios or anything like that just let me know, and I will post it here. Thanks in advance, hope you guys can help.

No I can't, like I said it's a shitty compaq from like 2 years ago, and my BIOS is SHIT, no options at all I hate it.... lol. You feel me. So, think you can help?

No Speedfan didn't work for me. It doesn't suport a compaq motherboard... of course I don't really know any that do lol. Is it possible to flash a better Bios to my Motherboard.... you know like maybe an award... or AMI, or one of those good ones... or am I stuck with this shit compaq setup Utility. Anyways... do you people have any other idea's that might help me... like help me find my PLL and my motherboard info, and some of that stuff.... if you need any info on my motherboard and BIOS, like I said just ask and I will post. Oh, and I have an AMD Athlon, Thunderbird 1ghz, and I already unlocked it by drawing the lines on the bridges.

Have you tried SiSoft's Sandra program? It might tell you more info on your MB and such. I hate to say that until we know more details of your system there is not much more that can be done. IMO you are stuck with what that Compaq has. I just don't see any possibilities for you to get or do anything more to it.

sorry you bought a compaq
whether it was free or you purchased it, I agree, proprietary and limited comes to mind. I build all of my computers, it can be expensive but rewarding.. Sisoft's Sandra will reveal much, and allow you to consider some options. I don't game, so I don't tweak like some, Still have the warranty?
