finally overclocked my video card...

i got her up to 300/285 before it became to much for the ram and i got artifacts. Now mind you this card (Sapphire Radeon 8500LE) comes with stock speeds of 250/200... so i think it is a rather impressive overclock!

very impressive actually.....I had a built by ATI 8500 LE that was stock 250-250......it would do 290-290 with the stock cooling.

it was good enough for my all time high for that card....3DM2001 SE......10,995!!

yea i'm on stock cooling to. But i also have a box fan blowing into the computer... maybe i should put some new thermal grease on the core...

the new Ceramique does really good. I would not suggest using the AS3 though.....that is what killed my 8500 LE. Was changing it over to a crystal orb......put on the AS3. Went to start it back up and had artifacts everywhere.......even in the BIOS screen. Killed it!!

But.....shit happens..

well i dont even have as3... but damn it i need to get some. I am using some Antec Reference on my cpu right now and i bet some as3 would drop the temp 3-4 degrees if not more....

sigh... i wrote that post before i ran 3dmark03 or 2001... then when i did i have like 91282287269262 artifacts... so i had to knock it down to 255/255... sigh
