are those prosessors locked or unlocked? does it mean you can change multiplier and fsb in bios then its
unlocked or if its locked and you unlocked it you get more possibilities to overclock it ( more multipliers and fsb:s. How you get more power to prosessor if you have highest volt 1,85 at bios? Does that briges connection helps that.
Here’s a site that will help you with any Pin tricks www.ocinside.de
The Thoroughbred B cores are unlocked meaning you can change the Multiplier in the BIOS without a problem the earlier processors either need to be modified connecting the L1 bridges or using a pin trick you can also modify the voltage as well but if your motherboard can't supply the voltage you are SOL on that unless you can find a voltage mod for your motherboard which requires soldering at least on variable resistor to your motherboard and measuring the voltage to your CPU with a DMM
Thunderbird is the original (socket A) Athlon core.
It's rumoured that the "end of line" runs were unlocked (L1 bridges uncut).
The Thunderbird was an easy unlock (they say) just by re-bridging the L1's - no "dirty tricks" like conductive layers beneath the cuts.
Motherboards of that era often lacked Multiplier adjustment though, leaving the only other option direct multiplier surgery on the CPU.
Given the price of an XP now, is it worth messing around with a Thunderbird - they put out too much heat to be really good overclockers, unless you have extreme cooling.
Athlon 1333 comes factory unlocked...know nothing about end of line....as far as I know everything from 1.2Ghz to 1.4Ghz on the Thunderbird core came unlocked from the fab

Want more power? then one of the ways is to do a voltage mod for your motherboard. Do it at your own risk!!
where you can get information about that volt modding? put some links here if you know some placeses
where i can good instuction of that. Im know lots of computers but i would be nice to know what are you doing? and its only money what you are throwing out of window if you fail, i got to buy new board soon
anyway. I try to manage so far with this board it would be nice offcource if you have more power to machine i would help me doing faster jobs and more time to watch chicks =) its summer you know
