Gainward GF4 OCing
I finnaly got my replacement from gainward today. Its a regular ti4200 64M. I got it up to 300/300 just by adding one fan to the back of the card. I'm going to add some ramsinks and a small HS in the back of the card.

Gainward's are great OCers!
Man, my GF4 ti4400 could hit some insane speeds too! You might want to consider removing the GPU heatsink & planing it and re-attaching it with some good thermal gunk, and disconnect the fan wires from the card it self and splice them to their own independant power supply...it REALLY helped me OC my memory!

Whoa, I made a huge mistake, I didn't realize that the ram in the OCing tool was rated in DDR. I had it at 150MHz! LOL. Well now I have taken it to 280MHz. At 300 it gets bad artifacting. I'm going to try to get a more persice max of the ram. My core is still working fine at 300 though, after I finish the ram I'll work on the core.

I betcha a cookie that if you give the heatsink fan an independant power tie-in that the artifacting will clear up...
That's what happened to me too, and after splicing the on-card fan line into a 4-prong bypass I was able to take it up to 350Mhz! (702 according to RivaTuner. )

The glue is drying right now. Now I just need to hope I didn't cross the wires. .

Now my dad is playing RTCW on that machine, why he doesn't want to use one of the more powerful r9700pro machines is beyond me. He could be playing with much better settings and on a much better monitor. Maybe he just wants to try it out.
