Looking for some OCing tips

High guys i just purchased some new computer components with the intent to Max its potential. First let me outline what i have then as a few questions: MSI 875 mobo (the one with all the features) P4 2.8c 800fsb CPU , OCZ pc-3700 Gold dual channel memory (rated at cas2-3-3-6 with max volt of 2.9) , Thermaltake Xazer III 2000a full alluminum case with 7 fans and a Thermaltake 480 Purepower PSU with dual fans , and of course a ATi 9700 Pro Video card with latest Omega Drivers and Bios. Also other components of little note are a AUdigy Sound card and a Sony DVD and a Sony CD-RW drive.

Now what i "Want" to do is run at 1:1 mem ratio and keep my CAS at 2.0 (would go 2.5 but only at extreme OC speeds). Now from what ive read this should OC well but for some reason CPU-Z keeps telling my my Ram is runnning at 2.5-4-4-8 and thats only at 225fsb which i cant seem to get any higher because the system keeps locking and when i reboot windows is blaming my Video card for crashing. Ive upped the AGP volt to 1.7 but doesnt seem to help and im not OCing the AGP/PCI bus i have it locked.

Anybody with a simalar system or atleast alot of OCing experiance give me a few pointers on what i need to be doing or what i could be doing wrong, everything has the latest drivers and bios and heat isnt a issue.

I also plan on OCing the Video card once my Ramsinks and Crystal Orb come in , but thats a different story.

thanx in advance , sry if the post is a little confusing its 6:33am here pulled a all nighter working on my toy and sifting through msg boards, im tired and likely not thinking straight

when you say windows is blaming your video card, does it say that its a driver issue and should be fixed with the lastest driver from your vendor or something like that??? by the way mate, trust the timings which is written in the bios over what's stated in windows....cheers mate...

Possibly your CPU cannot go higher?

225x14 = 3150MHz

That's quite a lot already. I have a 2.6C here that will not run at anything over 3GHz no matter how much voltage I feed it.
I know there are reports of people getting 3.5GHz but mostly they have access to several cpus and pick the good one.
That or you are just plain lucky.

Also parts sent out for reviews tend to be hand picked.

Oops, got to take that back.
There was a setting in the bios preventing to go higher. Anybody with an Abit IS7, make sure you disable 'Trd' in the GAT section of the bios. Took me a good while to figure it out.

This thing goes to 3.25 scoring over 20800 3dmarks01 and over 6800 3dmarks03 with a 9800 pro
Shame I don't get to keep it
