thermal pads

I wasn't sure where to put this but i was thinking that this should be a good place for it to go. I am looking at changing out the stock cooler on my 4890 i just bought and i wanted to put a waterblock on it. i am looking at most likely going with the swiftech waterblock. My question is does anyone know where i can buy thermal pads for the memory, or if someone has done this if i even need to buy thermal pads at all and just add some AS on there?

it all depends on the spacing between the memory and the block, if it fits snugly, you should be able to get away with thermal paste like AS5 or get better stuff like MX-2 or OCZ Freeze

im not familiar with the waterblock, but if theres room for memory heat syncs id suggest either the thermal pads or some thermal adheasive. Note, that with the thermal adheasive, the heat sync will be atached to the memory chip permantly. also the adheasives are not meant to be used between a gpu/cpu and it's heatsync, only on the memory chips.

if the waterblock touches the top of the memory chips and the gpu, i agree with being able to get away with a thermal grease like AS5.
