IntelBurnTest v1.6

Quote:
Linpack by Intel(R) is an extremely stressful program that will put even the most powerful X86/X64 CPU in the world at its knees. Load temp under Linpack will be up to 22*C higher than the competing software Prime95. This program will make usage of Linpack easier and more practical.

Keep in mind, use this program at your own risk. By using this program, you agree that neither I nor Intel shall be responsible for including, but not limited to: burned up CPU, fried motherboard, spontaneous room temperature increase, hair loss, or mental stress.

Got them. Thanks. Does anyone know of any 3d apps that run and display the system's temps at the same time?

Re: OC Test Programs

Not sure what exactly it is you want but for GFX card testing FurMark displays the cards temps while running: FurMark: Graphics Card Stability and Stress Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net

Also OCCT BETA has the GFX card temp displayed while running it's GPU tests. http://www.ocbase.com/download.php?fileext=beta

Quote:
5 Tests
 •
CPU OCCT : The classical OCCT CPU tests. The modes "CPU, RAM, and Mix" have been renamed to match more closely their roles to "Low, Medium and Large data sets".
Linpack : The very same test that Intel Burn Test, based on an Intel library, that will make your CPU hotter than never before.
GPU 3D : OCCT GPU, a home-made 3d program that will make your GPU hotter than anything else (even furmark), and sports an error-checking mode just as ATITool.
GPU Memtest : A GPU memory memtest based on CUDA. Very useful as well, but in practice, it is better at detecting manufacturing errors, and not overclocking errors.
 • Power Supply : This test is actually Linpack combined with OCCT GPU. It aims at loading your power supply, and results shows that it uses 20% more power than Crysis and 25% than 3dmark BEWARE, THIS TEST IS REALLY HARD ON YOUR POWER SUPPLY, IT COULD MELT IT EASILY ! DO NOT USE IT IF YOU HAVE A "NO NAME" POWER SUPPLY !

I always run CPUID HWmonitor in the background it works with almost everything and displays all your system temps. Works with everything but OCCT because OCCT uses CPUID for temps itself

I haven't had a chance to check Dead Space out yet enjoy and always remember you can run HWmonitor in the background irregardless of the benchmark proggy you are running

Furmark's extreme burning mode is fantastic for testing GPU's. Put 8xAA on and it'll kill any unstable card

Re: OC Test Programs

RivaTuner also has a temp meter capability (not just for the GFX card, but for the whole system as well )... you just have to set the program the right way...

here is the download link: RivaTuner v2.22 download from Guru3D.com

i'm using RivaTuner as my default CPU, GFX, HDD, System temp meter

It is good I finally broke 70C on my 4870 running this in a new case I am testing. First time I could get it hotter than 70C ... yes I am a sick puppy

That won't have an affect with this test Bro but have run this with CPU @1.45V (442x7) never over 68C on GPU.

Not sure here either but isn't a bad thing I always test things to the max. So far this Diamond Viper HD4870 is the only card I haven't had to change the cooler on or use manual fan O/Cing

Re: OC Test Programs

I've never successfully OCD my graphics card. Last time I tried I ruined my SLI setup. The cards just became unstable. I was really disappointed. I have a 9800GTX+ now. I'm planning on getting a second plus a Core2 Extreme CPU. Hopefully just OCing the CPU for me will be the right amount.
