nope the PC2-8500 PI one has same voltage spec as yours, DDR2-1066 2.0-2.1v,
when i tested it i use 1.96-2.0v for 1066-1080MHz and it wouldn't overclock more than 1100MHz or so. but it would only stable as much as 1080 MHz.
tried vdimm upto 2.3v wouldn't help. this may have some to do with motherboard, as well as the particular RAM modules itself.

on my post above #135, that one was using the PC2-8500 PI serie RAM kit,
since this particular RAM kit wouldn't overclock well i didn't want to buy another kit at the time,
i thought it could be even more worse if i would run this memory 4x 2GB.

Wow this is a very very good Quad-Core overclocking achievement without using an extreme cooling system.

if i'm not mistaken, this's on air, with Gigabyte EP45-DQ6 (which seems to be a very good motherboard indeed) and Thermalright's IFX14 cooler.

he was also get in to a 4.6GHz with below 1.38v vcore.
an amazing overclock on this Q9650 chip, and a very good CPU's temp too.

523 FSB (and x9 CPU multi too) with this Quad, this's like 650 FSB on a Dual CPU, no?
i think, besides he is very lucky to have owned such a good motherboard and a really golden Q9650 CPU,
the guy knows what he is doing with his hardware and his overclocking so well. i really admire his achievement.

Wow he just went to 534x9...

this's really positively impressed me on how good his motherboard is.

he didn’t want to stop, lol. both his motherboard and CPU are very impressive.

it's indeed an overclocking with Air cooling.

it's funny to me that how come some of the members over at XS forums did not believe the guy really achieved all of the overclocks the he was sharing to them on the thread.

anyways.. was just sharing with you guys a classic oc every step of the of the way: patience/trials/perseverance/brute force all on air.. have been ocing for almost 10 years now.. just cause im not breaking records or better known/trusted like others here.. doesnt mean idk how to oc/am posting fakes

as soon as ill get another cpu.. its the only one i got at the moment.. ill slap on the vapoLS and show you guys even higher clocks
i guess it's supposed to piss those people off quite a bit if they keep getting different achievements during overclocking the same Q9650 chip.
personally, i have no doubt that all the overclocks that belongs to NapalmV5 were real from the beginning i found them.

well i just think the Q9650 is one of the Intel's newest Quad and these overclock results are pretty unique and amazing.

swimtech,
actually, 625x6, 600x7.5 on air, but, it's for max screenshot only.
i have another RAM kit on a system my kid is using at different living place. i believe, with the RAM kit i can do 650 FSB.
