Best Intel 775 Heatsink?
I got Artic Freezer Pro 7 on one side (currently using it in all my intel machines.... damn good price and excellent performance.. much better then the intel verisons by far.)
And trying to find a more RECENT top performing heatsink... appears to be the scythe infinity which looks like artic freezer on steroids...
which should i get?
One that i KNOW works quite well, or one that looks like it would work better?
Perhaps someone else would recommend something BETTER?

If you're not running hot then there is no reason to change. I use the Artic Freezer Pro 7 too, on my OCed e6400@3g and it runs cool enough. The scythe is a little better, but last time I looked it was about 3x the price.

your board has the CrazyCool back-plate, i suggest you find out how to install a CPU cooler that requires its own back-plate to be installed (if you are not already know)
then these will be my choice...
Thermalright IFX-14
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
otherwise, my second choice... for cooler with no back-plate and for an easy installation...
but these will have less cooling power compared to the above, but it still should be okay if you have no plan for high overclock.
Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B
Scythe MUGEN.

neither of the 2 NEED a back plate.. (they mount no different then a stock heatsink )
and pangingjr...
the scythe mugen IS the sycthe infinity (not sure why manufacturers have to constantly change the name of a product)

which two?
MUGEN is the name of it in Japan
go ahead buy both the Scythe Ninja Plus Rev.B and Scythe MUGEN they are not expensive (don't they?) and try them both, i think you will like the Ninja more than the MUGEN.

Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme is the top performer on the market, beats the Thermalright IFX-14. Received mine yesterday and it does require a backplate.

sometimes i don't understand you at all, Judas. lol, stop worry and check them out to see if they will fit with the board and all. or just buy them all and try/test them all by yourself , and for the ones you don't want to use it, you can still use them later with other system don't you? check out the sunbeam tuniq tower 120 and zalman 9700NT too.

I prefer to buy one thing and have it work.. without having to test everything.... ( i take measurements... and figure everything out.. do as much research as i can)
it saves me money

Tuniq Tower second place, Thermalright Ultima 90 third place, if you put a real nasty fan on it it will just keep up with the Tuniq Tower.
