Hello its me again but i got a project for my new case I'm So tired of my old Koolance pc-901 case. But i seen this one called the ufo2-horizon for 399 i cant afford it so I'm gonna fabricate it. But i might put a work log here if an admin will allow it if they post here and say its cool or ill put it on my non used blog site for msn lol.
heres my ideas but my father is an engeener hes going over these atm b4 i take them and the everything metal fabricated. btw the red circles on my mob is the heat spots but thats why I'm building a new case I'm using a full tower and i hate it and the way its designed sucks. but im posting here for ideas and comments heres the drafts ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm assuming that he is having all the metal fabricated at a machine shop. Hey good plane though let me know how it turns out. I've been interested in the same case as you are planning on making. The only difference is that I am planning on making the clear acrylic version. So I am definitely interested in this little project.

But atm my dad is drafting it up and im getting the messurments still. btw im planning of getting this eached in the lower side pannels after i cut the blow holes and such out. The white areas will be shaved down still looking for a few more cool pictures i like lol

nice that looks like you have a good plan laid out. I currently have an acrylic case that was premade and its a tank. If i do make a case it will be made out of acrylic panels that are 1/4" thick with a 1/2" front panel like my current case is setup. But yeah the lazer etching now thats a cool touch to your build

Just a question, why do you need dual PSU slots?

Im also thinking about making some ascii pictures and having them put in that would look nice with the orange case and the red light going through it becasue where its cut will make it look like its a diffrant color Last edited by Trigger911; Jun 19, 2007 at 11:29 PM. |

the back is the same as the front in thickness-wise. It took some really long screws tof attach fans and such but the case itself is a tank.

here are some pics of my system. When I get home from vacation I can give you a more detailed pic of the specific joints.
![]() ![]() basically the joints are reinforced with really small L brackets and the corners are fastened with cubes of acrylic and the screws are fastened into them However, keep in mind that this particular case is, in fact, premade. But its been tough so I can't complain. Let me know if you need more detailed pics and i can get them up as soon as the 26th since I will then be home to take more pictures. |
