Overclock on 3400+
ok cpu-z was giving me funky readins. so i used everest, and it sees my new OC as a 3800+ instead of a 3400+ Is this normal?

It may be just how your computer detects it. I have my 3500 at 2.6ghz but it is still detected as a 3500.
If you don't have any problems with it then it is probably an error om the program's part reading your CPU by the clock speed instead of what it actually is.
If this is the case then I wouldn't worry about it too much, to it you have 3800 lol.

Thanks man. I figured as much but thought maybe somoeone else may have had the same error. Im not complaining - had mine @ 2.6 but lowerd it for the vista install - 2.4 does the job. Anyone got one of these to 3GHZ?

ok, so i lied... i did put it back @ 2.6. went from 4.0 to 4.3 in vista scoring... I wanna try 3 but im kinda scared lol

nice job man, no matter how much I OC, my CPU still sucks my Vista score down... I haven't gotten it to budge yet.

Really? 18% Overclock @2.6 Went up only .3 points but hey i guess thats better than nothing.

did you click the thing to recongnize new hardware? thats what you gotta do, its under system properties...
