Need cooling

Hello i need some advice on a good heat sink and fan for a
P4 2.4@2.8 normal the temps run about 38c
but under full load it gets up to 56c any ideas


P4 2.4@2.8
radeon 9700 pro
40gb WD HD 7200
asus P4T533-c mobo
256mb rd800mhz ram

umm, Euro, he knows he needs a new heatsink and fan... Read his first line "Hello i need some advice on a good heat sink and fan".... Anyway rainmx, I've only experience with AMD based cpu's and boards so really have no idea about a P4 Though from what I understand the intel chips do not get even close to hot when running. I would say in your case, you don't need a new hsf but rather better case cooling. Open up the side of the case with the top of mobo and point a fan in there. Let that sit about 5 minutes and then retest those temps. And what kind of fans/cooling do you have now for your case?

I have 3 80mm fans two blowing out one in
and stock heatsink and fan





P4 2.4@2.8

open up the case and do some testing for us and report back with some open case temps....

edit - are those fans setup one in front and one in back and PSU fan?

Opening the case and adjusting the fans i did get a 2c drop in temps
