Hello...
As everybody knows by now, Radeon 9000 non-pro comes with a damn lock that doens't allow any overclock. The symptons vary: some machines reset the clock back, others (like mine) reboot on the very sight of a clock modification.
Searching the web and other forums (like rage3d) i found that the lock seems to be in software, in the drivers.
There's an application called hoger that bypassed that lock in versions 2.x from Catalyst, but it doesn't work anymore it seems. It used to work with the ati2mtag.sys (in NT based systems) and ati2vxag.vxd (in win9x).
I was wondering if somebody more skilled at drivers and stuff (omega?) can look with love in this matter for us poor Radeon 9000 users? ( I know that8500le and 9000pro are better, I just dn't have the money...).
If somebody has already figured a way to override the o/c lock, post it here too and spread the news
thanks in advance.
