Sad Tempermental p.c

right had my p.c for over a year and replaced everything due to upgrading except cd drives. The problem is sometimes when i switch it on the fans start up and the power and hdd light come on but the system dosent get any further , no p.o.s.t ,no boot. But if i then switch it off and on again it will work without any problems. This happens quite often and it can be annoying. only thing i can think off is that my power supply aint powerful enough for my system its a 300w macron supply (160 watt 3.3v&5v compined).
Can anyone tell me what that problem could be ? Please help & thanx in advance
