3.3ns is 300 mhz if I'm not correct by default, but max is whatever it can do, really depends

yes i mean default...

since this is normaly a radeon 9700 tx from dell with a standart clocking of 263mhz... it would be safe to go on 300mhz mem clock..? right?

"time"=1/f
3.3ns=1/300MHz.

It also depends on the setup of the board, mainly the voltage supplied to the chips.

Try!

Just for my curiosity... what's the make of your board (i.e. Powrcolor or Spphaire...) - and the GPU original clock? How high can you run your GPU (I take it the memory goes up to 310)?

Thanks... and congrats!

it is a radeon 9700tx ... its normaly build by ATI but a version for DELL.

they are a little bit lower clocked then a normal ati radeon. i think they use chips that dont have passed the tests. but its like the p4... you can have luck and get a normal chip.
memory is normal on all TX so you can get the 300 easy i think.

original clock and mem speed (tx) are 263mhz
original ati has 275/275 i think?

my gpu runs @ 276 at the moment... im still getting higher..step by step and test for about 2 days gaming every step.

and always had a disk for emergency reflash in the drive

then it must be 300/300 ..

the memory is not my problem.. works fine !
since i dont know if the gpu is a good one or a dell one i will only clock step by step. but i think the original radeon 9700 speed will reachable.. maybe more.

but also with this timing i have no problems with the card. its just great working with unreal2, splinter cell and freelancer @ the moment
i always have nvidia card (from geforce 256ddr to gf2ultra and gf3ti) but ati has done great job for relative low prices

you mean the 9700 PRO ?

i thought the pro has 325 core and 310 mem speed?

the non-pro has core 275 and mem 270.

mine runs @ 290/310 now

Can use the following formula to roughly calculate the rated speed of certain chip...

1000 / speed in ns
e.g. 1000 / 3.3 = 300MHz

guys the core of both 9700 and 9700 pro are the same. iAti lowered the core on the 9700 from pro but there is no harm in upping it. to the memory makes which really set the card apart. the lower timings the better overclockiblity.
