Custom Monitor Resolution

I have searched the web for the past couple of hours trying to figure out how to do custom nitor resolutions.

I recently purchased a 27" lcd and am now currently running on 1280x768. Im trying to achieve 1600x768 but it's not available on the list of resolutions in "Display". How can I achieve 1600x768?

-Any help would be greatly appreciated
-Parker

Well this is my other computer so therefore I am not using an ATI Radeon on this computer. On this computer I have the default 64mb Intel chipset video chip.

the Intel graphics driver may not suport the resolution that you wanted. i suggest you check the Intel chipset's, its graphics's and driver's documentations. i'd say the monitor deserve to have or be used with a better graphics engine than the integrated graphics one.

Don't worry overly much about whether a specific KB article exists for your version of Windows.
Standard practice is to grab whatever's available and apply the principles.
