SiS 630 and SP2 problems

hey, wondering if anyone else has heard of any of these sorts of problems.

basically i think win xp sp2 has messed with my graphics somehow, i used mekaw sega master system emulator, then when i installed SP2 it said that it couldn't support 640x480 display mode or something similar, and i have the same problem trying to play house of the dead

i reinstalled my graphics driver but it made no difference, i also get this thing where if i leave the pc to run screen saver or shut down screen or whatever, when i come back it is in a really low resolution and gives an error message and basically i have to reboot and recover from a 'serious error'.

a) anyone else come across anything like this? i don't want to lose SP2 as generally it seems to be great
b) is it safe to 'uninstall' the driver so i can reinstall it when i reboot, for some reason i have a feeling i've done this before on another computer and it just messed it up before i could reinstall the driver again - as i've reinstalled it over the top of it, if it was going to fix the problem would that have worked?

hope you can help!

cheers for the reply, and sorry for the mass delay in replying, i haven't had access to the net with this computer for a while! i just checked out the site but the UniVGA3 driver is for systems newer than the SiS630 i think, the 630 just uses UniVGA not UniVGA2 or 3 - so i think just by choosing the chipset i have and the operating system it gives me that driver best suited anyway. i'll give it another shot at downloading and installing that one - is it safe to uninstall the installed graphics drivers with the intention of reinstalling them fresh when i reboot or will it mess up my system like i suspect?

cheers!

ok, i downloaded the driver update from SiS, it only does one thing though so i couldn't get a UniVGA thing, it was just the latest driver for SiS. it turned out i already had it installed but i installed it over and it still did the same thing with mekaw - so dunno what to do really!
