release the v5 6000..... no..... has anyone ever been able to get there hands on one.... yes
i beleive NOW.. there are 5 WORKING variations of the v5 6000. 2 of which are the latest revisions and work pretty damn good, 3 of which are an older revision and still work pretty solid.
i think there are a handful more that are older and newer revision however, do not work at all.
And to top it off, there is i think 2 board/chips that are semi working RAMPAGE cards, totally unannounced, first 3dfx with quite a massive and impressive build, H TnL and the works.

I'm impressed! I'm no 3dfx fan but 800*600 at those framerates, for a card that old, 2 texture units, low clock, 12MB of memory, no TnL... Amazing! Total absence of shaders and low texture quality does make some of the screenshots ugly, still it's almost unbelievable!
Concerning an earlier post, has anyone ever managed to test a Rampage card? I got really curious and I was able to find some pictures and promises of benching results "as soon as they get the alpha version of drivers working", but not a single actual number.

It's amazing to me that 3dfx ever lost enough market to be bought out by nvidia.

Well, they missed a product cycle by a good 9-12 months, and as a result the bottom fell out of their stock value and their cash flow for development of the Rampage card dried out.
Crash & burn!

Well, I must say, that there is no dought that if 3dfX would have survived for three more months, they would have turned into the best GC company in the world! they probably worked on a new kind of cards that will blast the GeForce out to space. not that I care anyway.
Those Doom3 photos make it look like Doom1&2. Maybe that's the REAL sequal? maybe they intended the game to work on VooDoo3 and that would be somewhat of a secret game? hehehe...
