with all thats be said who says this is faster then the Ati card with 4 9700 PRO GPU'S and 1 GB of ram?

you don't rember that? they are made special for the us millitary and thier uber expensive I read about it here on DH when 9800 pro was king.

There are many cards made for military and governments, but that hardly counts in the context of this thread. Who says the 4 core 9700 chipset is ATIs most powerful board? But lets keep this thread to the realms of availability.

Without trying to sound too facetious, I think the question sounds a bit like the following: "What's the best car that I can drive using fuel other than gasoline and diesel?"

If you're looking for good multi-purpose desktop video cards, particularly those that have gaming capabilities, you're fairly limited.

Matrox has great 2d cards, or at least they did ~2 years ago.

What ever happened to Cirrus Logic or those good 'ole 512k Trident VGA cards that you could buy for a $1/lb.?

the card aitn meant for gaming its a Cad card. it not gonna run better then the current cards out there in gaming. it drivers are opimizted for CAd work.
