The 880 sports Logitech / Harmony's "Smart State" technology, which remembers the most recently used system settings. The remote is also task based, which means you sim-ply press the "Watch a DVD" button or "Watch Television," and the 880 fires off the IR codes to turn everything on.

Programming the unit is incredibly easy, too, though you'll need to connect the Harmony to a PC via a USB port. You actually connect to Harmony's Web site to do the actual pro-gramming, so the IR codes for thousands of TVs, A/V receivers, DVD players, and others are constantly being updated.
