On the main page for it, the advice about using GSPOT or AVICODEC is good, and should definitely be followed, selecting ONLY the codecs that you need as bludgeoning a huge codec pack in, with duplicates and everything under the sun, is a marvellous way to break previosly working player configurations.

MPC 6.4.8.5 - now THAT, I'm going to have to look at.
