Nintendo DS WiFi Set-up Screens

By way of the wonderfully mysterious Flickr comes pictures of the Nintendo DS WiFi set up. The slideshow seems to show the screen that will pop up on your DS when you go to set up a connection for the upcoming WiFi network for the handheld.

The first of the seven shows two big buttons: Nintendo WiFi Connection Setting and Options.
The second shows the Options screen which has System Information, Erase Nintendo WFC Configuration and Transfer Nintendo WFC Configuration.

The third shows three different connections that you can set-up in advance. This would be great to set one for your house and one for work or a coffee joint and leave one for roaming.

The fourth picture shows Connection 1 Settings which includes buttons for searching for an Access Point, Manual Setup and something called “AOSS”. A quick Google search shows that AOSS stands for AirStation OneTouch Secure System a one-button automated system for network configuration. I’m guessing Nintendo’s free national hotspots will use this.

The last three photos show the connection settings screens which include adding a Gateway, auto installing a DNS or doing it manually, Subnet Mask, Gateway, SSID, WEP Key and IP address.

I am so friggin psyched about the Nintendo WiFi, I can’t wait to hand my brother (who live’s in Atlanta) his ass on Mario Kart DS. And I’m holding my breath for an expansion pack for Advance Wars DS that will enable WiFi play, then I can die a happy man.

Nintendo DS WiFi Revealed [Apreche, thanks Nick]
