AtomFilms, one of the largest video-on-demand Web sites, has inked deals with AOL and Blinkx, among others, to promote its digital videos. Under various distribution deals, video search engines from Yahoo, AOL and Blinkx will point to AtomFilm's short films and animations. And Download.com, owned by News.com parent company CNET Network, will also link to AtomFilm's programming.
It all adds up to potentially more traffic--and advertising--for AtomFilms, which sells commercial broadcast space before each of its clips.
