Everquest Europe joins Everquest US

Sony Online Entertainment and Ubisoft decided to cancel the European Everquest online game on June 30. According to a statement, European gamers will be transferred into the North American Everquest2 community.

Ubisoft explained its decision with a restructuring process of its business which will include the removal of the servers Kael Drakkal, Sebilis, and Venril Sathir. Gamers from these servers will be sent to the Antonius Bayle server. Ubisoft did not say how many gamers will be affected by the move. (THG)

Probably doing it since the player base for EQ is on a decline and probably just moving them in order to bring costs down and populate other servers.
