Nero ported to Linux!
Everyone's favourite CD/DVD burning utility, Nero Burning ROM, makes its debut in Linux! Ahead decided to port the popular program to the Open Source operating system, giving users more choice and K3b (the leading burning app for Linux right now) some serious competition. Unfortunately the program is written for the old version of GTK (1.x), but I guess subsequent versions will fix that

Interesting. I have been using k3b on Gnome and I am pretty satisfied with it, but I may have to check this one out. I have always liked Nero.

Hmm, definitely a welcome addition to the X family
. We'll see if it really gives anything above k3b

I installed this and burned a few cd's from Mp3, ISO, and a regular data cd. Although it is not as polished as nero 6.x for windows it is just as easy to use. It reminds me of the nero 5.x days, but this program also includes DVD burning capabilities. I will have my buddie test the DVD burning portion and see how it goes. I have uninstalled K3b since I really want to avoid anything to do with KDE.
