CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) is a freeware system optimization tool that removes unused and temporary files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster, more efficiently and giving you more hard disk space.

It's a great tool, I use it frequently. Ironically, after using it one time, I thought to myself; "Boy, that cleaned a lot of crap.", then I remembered what the 'C' meant...I had a good little laugh.

Hmm that's a lot, never seen any Windows has that much of the unneeded files, unless that amount was also included with temp files, temp internet files, if so, it could be more on some machines that runs many softwares installation and using a lot of internet.. lol.

I can't install CC anymore!

I just uninstalled the older version and tried to install this one and it starts thee install but like at about 5%, everything just quites!

Same with the older one now

Tried safe mode, no go... Maybe has something to do with registry.. Where are all the registry things for CC?

it would be best to check with the software's author.
esp, when your problem is about installing the software program.

Yea, ccleaner is an awesome tool. I usually run it once a day or more. It does clean alot of crap.

Usually, 30-40 MB. A friend uses my computer, so I like to clear everything. So, he doesn't know or get into my stuff.

I have saved over 375MB on one run before.

System Specs

First run it freed up 2079.2 MB from the application cleaning (deleting temp files from every day used apps).

It also cleaned up 1.42 MB via standard windows scan.

For a grand total of 2080.62 MB cleaned.

System Specs

First time i have used this app.. and wtf! 780mb of either redunent or unneeded files etc removed on the first run.....seems a pretty decent freebie software.

Remember guys, if you have the option to empty your Recycle Bin checked it will empty it and count towards the total freed space.
