Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Walkthrough

It's not uncommon for a game that catches our eye to get showered with praise. Sometimes it's possible to dismiss the praise, to suggest that we're just an excitable bunch. Don't dismiss the hype surrounding Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. This game is the Truth. The third in the Splinter Cell series, shipping for all platforms in March 2005, is a marked improvement over previous iterations and quite easily one of the most impressive-looking titles of this generation. While a casual glance may fool you into thinking this is just a prettier version of the "same old game," you'd be about as wrong as ice cream in Hell.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory features a brand new graphics engine, advanced AI, ragdoll physics, alternate paths, a smarter stealth meter, and a big, beautiful knife. Ubisoft Montreal, the team that developed the original Splinter Cell, started work on Chaos Theory before Sam Fisher's first adventure was on store shelves. That time has been well-spent. Clint Hocking, Creative Director, provided IGN with a guided tour through Chaos Theory's first level. Clint talks about a multitude of improvements and additions to Chaos Theory, from graphics to AI and everything in between. Check it out now.
