Default Post MSN Messenger 5.0.0515

Once again another Messenger release. This time it's build 5.0.0515.

No patch is needed to stay connected/online. So if you want it, it's available on #winbeta at the moment till it reaches DH...

Installed MSN5 and right away found a problem.
If you use UPNP this version does not support it correctly.

UPNP stands for Universal Plug and Play.
All the info can be found here http://www.upnp.org/
I use it to get MSN to communicate directly with my router. It open up the ports needed automatically and close them after use.
That's why I much prefer MSN over any other chat proggie.

Transferring files did not work with Messenger5.
As soon as I stepped back to 4.7 it worked again.
You also with a BFSR41 right? Which firmware? I'm on 1.42.4

The only good thing about MS Messenger is editing my syso.inf so I can remove it instantly after a fresh install of XP lol.

@JessC thanx for the links. Ad-remover worked great too.

That 2 color sign-in dohicky always bugged me. Or at least since I saw the Mac MSN. This one's MUCH nicer.

Now just hope this never needs one of those abominable half-working sign-in fixes
