Intel Prescott CPU heatsinks the size of small elephants

JUST TO TAUNT those who have a complex about such things... I grabbed a few snaps of some monster heatsinks from ASUSTeK and Foxconn's exhibition booths in progress.

Sturmbahn is on a distinguished road

It's a friggin' jet engine. Kinda wonder if it sounds like one too. Hear it cycle up to maximum speed as the board slightly lifts up off the ground.

this could cause some problems with dual fan psu's,particularly the ones with the second fan would be over the heatsink!!!

my cooler master jet 4 just about misses mine.

there is also the weight factor when the mobo is mounted vertically, unless it is made of some extremely light material or has some kind of support brackets it would rip the motherboard apart.

Anyone else notice the huge heatsink is on an AMD board, not Prescott? Asus K8V

and nevermind the power supply, can you fit a stick of RAM in the first slot?

EDIT: I meant power supply

I'd put it in my rig. That would really make some noise and blow some dust around, just what I look for in my PC's.
