First of all, this is the top of the line for both companies. Secondly, they could be a very interesting alternative for building a workstation or low end server."
"The 3.4 GHz Pentium 4 EE is by a small margin the fastest CPU in 3D Rendering. However after examining the results closely, I am no fan of L3-caches in workstation applications. At best you get a 13% speedup compared to the 3.2 GHz Pentium 4 Northowod, but in some cases we even saw very small performance losses. The 200 MHz higher clockspeed adds a little bit more but it is hard to justify paying $600 more for this kind of performance advantage."
