Hey everyone, @dek over at Fileconnect has informed me that Internet explorer 6 from build 1082 of SP1 is now available!!
I'm sure this will be easier than getting the whole SP for some people. Check it out Here Your feedback is more than welcome. |

That site has said shame on him for stealing bandwidth for weeks, why post a "New" link to that site? Anyhow anyone have any other links for this??? I stopped doing XP SP1 until final release since it got way too annoying, and I don't see how it can be good to install and uninstall service packs once or twice a week so I'm wating since the final version should be days, not weeks now away. I would like to update IE6 though, any links?

What I downloaded wants to use the Internet to get files. From the size of this download, it should ALL be within the download itself.

I did extract the files to the hard drive. Then, when I started the installation, I selected the 2nd option to allow me to customize the browser. Then, once it went to the next screen I just had to point it to the folder I created in step one. All is well, I'm back online already. ![]() Dyre Straits

this is the final build for SP1 for Win9x/Winnt/Win2k. WinXP's build number will match the build of the Service pack

When RELEASED, it should be a nicely fixed up, stable release, with all prevoius patches included - and satisfy those who say "Never use a point-zero of ANYTHING".
Alternatively, if current Microsoft behaviour is anything to go by, it will include a revised EULA that allows them to pump further updates into your machine without your say-so!

Since installing the SP1 I have noticed one major issue.... One of my contacts sends me .pdf files as attachments. The latest Outlook Express has disabled my ability to view these attachments. I have gone through the menu's and cant seem to find where to turn this function off..............."HELP"
![]() I have looked in the readme and it mentions that this is a new virus protection feature but nowhere does it say how to disable it
