Fastest Video Cards of 2003
An interesting article over at Xbitlabs details the fastest graphics cards of 2003 and gives a general round-up - quite a lengthy read - but worth it.

Interesting final thought:
This way, we can conclude that graphics adapters based on NVIDIA GPUs are more suitable for: *Professional gamers caring more about high fps rates rather than image quality *Those who are not interested in the next generation games; *NVIDIA products fans ![]() *Those who work with professional 3D applications. The graphics solutions based on VPUs from ATI Technologies are more suitable for: *Those who want to play with the highest image quality; *Those who are following the progress in the computer games industry; *Those who value the quietness -it makes sense though. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/vid...s-2003_48.html

Who are they and what type of business and marketing degrees/credentials do they have to even assume that they know the economic market and how it moves and fluctuates? Also, most of the online articles are written by computer-talented but English-language-challenged individuals. After some time, one can really get fed up by such horrible writing. As a student at a University, I'm used to reading well-organized, fluid, consistent, and grammatically correct literature. Reading such horrible English articles at sites like X-Bit really gives me a headache. Really, I'm not kidding. |

BTW, I'm not just singling out X-Bits. Every site I have visited is guilty of this. They include Anandtech, HardOCP, SharkyExtreme, ExtremeTech, etc...The list is endless.
In order to find well-written and quality articles, I usually pick up some magazines like CPU and Maximum PC. However, even they screw up sometimes but with a much, much lower error rate. |
